Know your SSS, PhilHealth and HDMF (Pag-IBIG) monthly contributions. With your Monthly Basic Pay (Salary) you can immediately know your contributions. Just refer to the following tables below:

For SSS Contribution
Illustration:
Suppose your monthly basic pay (salary) is P12,000.00 then by looking at the table above (under the column of Range of Compensation) just find the range of compensation that includes P12,000.00 and simply move your eyes horizontally and look for your corresponding SSS Contribution (under the main column Social Security and sub-column EE or Employee Contribution). Your contribution is P400.00.

Since you already know how to look for your SSS Contribution it is time for you now to know how much is your employer's contribution counterpart. Again, find the Range of Compensation where you belong, move your eyes horizontally, and just look under the main column Social Security and sub-column ER or Employer Contribution.

Suppose you have a P12,000.00 monthly basic pay (salary) then the ER or Employer Contribution would be P848.00 and your total monthly contribution that debit in the SSS is P1,248.00 (P848.00 + P400.00).

For PhilHealth Contribution
Illustration:
For instance you have a monthly basic pay (salary) of P12,000.00, then your Philhealth Monthly Contribution would be P150.00. Look for the column under Monthly Salary Range and find for the interval where your salary belongs. After that, move your eyes horizontally (to the right) and find for the corresponding PhilHealth Monthly Contribution under the Employee's Share Column.

Aside from this it is also better and wise to know your employer's contribution counterpart. Again, going back to the PhilHealth Table above just look for the column under Employer's Share that corresponds to your monthly gross income. If your monthly gross income is P12,000.00 then your Employer's Share is P150.00 and the total amount that debit in your PhilHealth Contribution is P300.00 (Employee's Share + Employer's Share).

For HDMF/Pag-IBIG Contribution
Illustration:
If your Monthly Basic Pay (Salary) is P12,000.00 then your HDMF Contribution is P11,000.00 X 0.02 = P220.00 and your Employer's Counterpart is P11,000.00 X .02 = P220.00. This computation is so easy. After you know where your Gross Monthly Salary Range belong, just multiply it by the MULTIPLIER that corresponds to your monthly basic pay (salary) .The total monthly contribution that debit in your HDMF Contribution is P440.00 monthly.

NOTE: You can also demand to your Finance Officer or Human Resource Officer if you want to increase your HDMF Monthly Contribution. This is advisable if you want to avail a housing loan. The bigger contribution you have the bigger the money later on that you can loan for your housing loan.

As far as I know there will be no penalty. All I know is that they will deduct it in the computation of your years of service when claiming SSS pension. For example you have worked 20 years, and say you have failed 8 consecutive months of contribution within a year. When you retire, they will use 19 years in the computation of your service instead of 20. I suggest you verify this with SSS.

Hi Ma'am, ganun din po ba for Pag ibig and Philhealth? Bale hindi na sila maniningil ng arrears?

Medyo pareho sa situation ko, nung nasa private company ako, complete yung deductions ko pero nung lumipat ako sa government, job order pa lang at hindi sila nag babawas ng deductions other than tax. Gusto ko sana mag start ulit mag bayad ng Philhealth and Pagibig so I want to know kung may penalties ba talaga and if meron, pwede bang installment yung payment? Thank you!

Hi Cathy, no.However, you have the option to request to your employer to deduct the contribution in your salary or you will settle it directly to Pag-IBIG. Are you planning to apply for housing loan?

only the employee has the option to increase his/her contribution but as mandated, employers can only share up to P100 or 1% or 2% of the basic salary, WHICHEVER OR LOWER.

Hi Amy, you can view your sss contribution online. just go to their website and register. You need to have a valid email and your SSS number. Unfortunately, there is no online viewing of Pag-IBIG contributions yet. But you may email them and request for a copy of your contributions. They will reply to you, not that quick but they will. You may also call their hotline or go to a Pag-IBIG branch near you.

Hi Pinky,

Hello, I work in a big bpo company in makati. I checked lately if my contributions for philhealth, pag ibig and sss are updated. I found out days ago that this bpo did not remit anything for my philhealth and for my pag ibig the last remitted contribution was last Sept 2015. I haven't verified yet with sss. I started working with this bpo January 2015. I have printed payslips which showed that contributions for said govt mandated deductions were deducted from my monthly pay every cut off. What should I do best first for them to take action immediately? Will they be liable for this? Good thing I did not need my philhealth yet but I wish to have this corrected by them soon. And I plan to apply for loan from Pag ibig once my company (bpo) remits the lacking contributions because I will meet the required 24 mos contributions. Now I still show 21 mos contributions still in Pag ibig Fund since Sept 2015. Thank you for your response and help. Good day!

In reaction to the computation of Pag-IBIG contribution, please note that the maximum monthly computation used in computing employee contributions is currently set at P5,000.00 only.

This is correct. Kaya ang mandatory for 1,500 and below(5,000) is 2%.

And additional info, sa personal(employee) share(prem), yung mandatory amount na makukuha mo is only the minimum pero pwede mo increase prem mo.

Kung voluntary ka, pwede ka mag remit sa kahit anong payment center as long as alam mo ung SSS No. mo.

Change from employee to voluntary.

To the author: So as to avoid further confusion, please do correct your discussion on the PAG-IBIG contributions. Note that the maximum compensation considered in computing is set at P5,000. Thus, the maximum contribution for both employee and employer is only at P100.

May Missunderstanding lng po kasi dito:

Illustration:
If your Monthly Basic Pay (Salary) is P12,000.00 then your HDMF Contribution is P11,000.00 X 0.02 = P220.00 and your Employer's Counterpart is P11,000.00 X .02 = P220.00. .

Ung ilustration sa taas is may mali. Kaya kung ang basic is 1500 and above, ang mandatory share ng employee at employer is 2% of basic or 100, whichever is lower...

Q1: No, it hasn't.
Q2: Yes, it is the max in the mandatory part
Q3: Yes, that is the max in the mandatory because of the 5K ceiling.

Add'l note. Employee can increase their share. This is optional. The ceiling was made because the mandatory part of personal contribution is the only included as non-taxable in the of computation for income tax... :)

Abby
3/11/2017 02:45:48 am

Kind of. Employer share is computed based on the salary bracket of employee. So basically on top of employees basic salary is employers share as well on employees premiums. Say i am an employee, i will pay 100.00 for my hdmf share and my employer will also pay 100.00 as his counterpart of my hdmf account. It means that in 1 month, my hmdf account increased by 200.00 but only 100.00 is deducted from my basic salary.

Hi po Good day, sana may mag reply.

Reply
Abby
3/9/2017 11:41:28 pm

Hi Ronah! I can only inform you how much your basic contribution is sa basic na 14,500.00

ER EE Total Contribution
HDMF(pag-ibig) 100.00 100.00 200.00
PHIC(philhealth) 175.00 175.00 350.00
SSS 1,078.20 526.80 1,605.00

ung mga totals, un dapat ang lalabas na remitted sa account mo sa bawat isa. sa computation mo ng tax, 14,500-100-175-526.80=13,689.20 yan and basis ng computation ng tax plus other benefits na taxable. kung sabihin natin na walang OT or kahit anong additional allowance, at walang declared dependent, ang monthly tax mo is 1,446.17.

Hindi ako lawyer, pero mandatory and employer na magbayad ng 100.00 para sa hdmf, sa phic naman tatapatan ng employer ang employee share at sa sss, depende sa income magbabase sa table... so yeah pwede ka magreklamo... lalo na sa sss and hdmf share mo. kc sss don ka magpepension at nakbase sa nahulog mo ang amount na marereceive mo. sa hdmf, lahat ng naihulog under sa account mo, babalik sau after 20 years (optional) or upon retirement.

It is important to note that the maximum compensation considered in computing a member’s monthly PAG-IBIG contribution is Php5,000, which equates to Php100 contribution each for the employee and the employer. This means that even if the monthly compensation of an employee exceeds Php5,000, his contribution will remain at Php100.

ang alam ko maximum monthly compensation that is used for computation is 5000pesos lang. Ibig sabihin lang kung ang sweldo mo is more than 5k like for example 10k na sweldo, ang ibabayad mo pa din is 100pesos which is 2% ng 5000pesos at hindi 2% ng 10k.
